ADAM CYGAN
SWIMMING LESSONS
He started his water sport adventure when he was six. First, he learnt swimming and then playing water polo. For many years he has worked as a swimming instructor, a lifeguard, a lifeguard manager and a rescue inspector on the Baltic beaches. He has trained his sports teams to the Polish Maritime Rescue Championships (they won the game several times). In the meantime he has enjoyed diving, sailing and motor boating until he has finally discovered his new passion, which is now teaching babies how to swim. He continues his challenge and still looks for more effective methods and forms of working with children. He says that children are very demanding customers and he never gets bored while working with them. Although it is a challenging job, he loves it, because it is rewarding besides. He hopes that one day swimming classes will be added to the core curriculum of general education.
